The AASSP host two main events for members each year, a "Black Belt / Green Belt Practitioner Forum" and a "Networking Forum for AASSP Members".

Black Belt / Green Belt Practitioner Forum

The AASSP host a number of events for members each year, including a "Black Belt / Green Belt Practitioner Forum" and a "Networking Forum for AASSP Members". Companies that have AASSP membership are invited to send their Green Belt, Black Belt and Master Black Belt process improvement practitioners to network and learn from colleagues in the Lean Six Sigma discipline across all industries.

The Practitioner Forum is a full day event consisting of a key note presentation, showcases of successful Lean Six Sigma Deployments, project presentations by Green Belt and Black Belt practitioners and of course lots of networking and facilitated group discussions on the implementation of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

There is a small charge for practitioners to attend this event in order to cover the cost of the venue and catering for the day.

AASSP Member Networking Forum

This forum is also known internally as the “Deployment Forum” as the majority of participants are “deployment leaders” within corporate members. This forum is targeted at the main representative for each of the companies who have membership with AASSP. The purpose of the day is to foster discussion and information sharing.

The agenda for this full-day event usually includes a tour of host company, as well as a presentation of the implementation of their Lean Six Sigma program, followed by various facilitated discussion sessions on topical matters identified by the group. New members are invited to present an overview of their experiences and Lean Six Sigma deployment. The most popular part of the day is often the open discussion session, called the “Sounding Board”. The AASSP’s AGM is usually held within this forum in the latter part of the calendar year.

This forum is hosted at the premises of one of the AASSP member companies, and therefore there is no cost for members to send their main representative. The cost of catering and the venue is covered by the host organisation.
