Can someone come and speak to our organisation about Lean Six Sigma?

Individuals within the AASSP are often invited to speak at events. Please contact us and let us know what you have in mind. If appropriate, your request will be passed on within the AASSP to find a speaker.

Can anyone join AASSP?

Membership of AASSP is open to any organisation or individual who practices Lean Six Sigma.

Who belongs to AASSP?

Companies and individuals in Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific countries.

Who runs AASSP?

A committee is elected annually by the members. Committee roles are President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Ordinary Committee Member (x3). Members nominate themselves or a nominated for a committee role and are voted in during the Annual General Meeting. The commitment for committee roles is for 12 months, requires that a member has an interest and passion for committee work, and will make the time for this unpaid voluntary position. It rewards members with interesting challenges and internal & external recognition. The committee works on behalf of the members. Most members of the committee are Master Black Belts. Please be patient if you contact us and we do not respond immediately. We all have day jobs!

Who organises AASSP forums?

Members of AASSP do this on a voluntary basis. All members are expected to volunteer to organise a forum on a “rotational” basis.

Do I need to join to come along to an AASSP Networking/Deployment Forum?

If you have not yet joined and are considering membership, you may attend one forum and then decide if you would like to apply for membership.

Do I need to join to come along to an AASSP Black Belt/Green Belt Practitioner Forum?

Yes, you must be a member. This is for tax reasons as AASSP is a not-for-profit organisation.

Do you provide training or advice on Lean Six Sigma training?

AASSP members do not provide any training. Individual members are willing to share their experiences of training providers with other members and potential members.

Can you recommend a Lean Six Sigma consultant?

No. The AASSP is intended for Practitioners to network and share experiences with each other
