Who are AASSP members?

Our members are business improvement practitioners with experience in lean and or six sigma methods.  Our members can be working for an organization that has a structured Lean Six Sigma program or they individuals using the tools and techniques outside of an organizational deployment.

We offer membership to companies and individuals.

Company membership means anyone at that organization has access to member benefits. A company’s primary member contact will usually be the Lean Six Sigma Deployment Lead or a Master Black Belt.  If the company you work for has a Lean Six Sigma program find out if you’re a member because you could already have access all our resources!

If the company you work for doesn’t have a Lean Six Sigma program but you are using lean six sigma tools or would like to learn more about the methodologies then we’d love to have you as an AASSP member!  Apply for an individual membership today to get instant access to all our resources.

What’s included in AASSP membership?

Our members have extensive knowledge on best practices, latest trends and research on Lean Six Sigma deployment, operations and techniques. We share this knowledge through participation at, and hosting of conferences, forums and networking events for members.

Our aim is to enable sharing of our experiences and thereby enhance the success of our members’ efforts.

Membership Criteria

Membership is open to any company who has a Lean Six Sigma program in place, or an individual with a background in Lean Six Sigma who is not working for a company that has a Lean / Six Sigma deployment.  There is no exclusion based on membership of other organisations.

Those selling Lean Six Sigma services, consulting or accreditation are not eligible for membership.

Decisions about whether a company or individual meets the criteria for membership lies solely with the committee

What’s expected of AASSP members?

Being part of a non-competitive association like the AASSP is hugely beneficial for members through opportunities to work with peers outside your own organization. This sort of collaboration comes with expectations to ensure ongoing contribution from all members.

It is assumed that by becoming a member of the association that the member agrees to the following:

• AASSP intellectual property (joint work product) is available to members for use within member organisations, and members will acknowledge it as AASSP Intellectual Property. Intellectual Property will not be made available to non-members.
• The confidentiality of information presented to AASSP by members will be respected, and not reused or quoted without the permission of the owner.
• Members will, in their AASSP activities, comply with relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
• Members will not use the AASSP name or letterhead, or commit the AASSP without appropriate committee authority.
